Primary Text: Ephesians 6:10-13 Supporting Text: Neh. 1:1-3; 1 Ki. 18:30–3; 1 Cor 2:1-5; Ecc. 7:2-4; Ro. 8:13; Ga. 5:24, 6:8
Satan has landed four near-death blows to the church as a whole. Satan first convinced the church that in order to reach the world, it had to become like the world. Next, Satan convinced the church that it’s acceptable to give God part, but not all. Satan has inundated the church with things. Things to do, things to see – things to otherwise occupy our time. Finally, there has been a watering down of the preaching on the necessity of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and in conjunction the need to walk in the Spirit. The church has a choice to make; will they follow the trend of the modern day church or strive to be like the church of Jesus Christ described in the book of Acts, a church baptized in the Holy Ghost, walking in the Spirit, carrying out the directive of the “Great Commission.”
The church will need to put on the whole armor of God and having done all to stand in the evil day.
