“Be filled” carries the meaning in Greek of “repeatedly being filled.” The spiritual life of the child of God must experience constant renewal by the continual flow of the Holy Spirit in his or her life. The baptism of the Holy Ghost releases this flow of the river of God for worship, service, and witness. One experiences the constant and continual flow by maintaining a living faith in Jesus Christ, being filled with God’s Word, praying, giving thanks, singing to the Lord, serving others, and doing what the Holy Spirit desires.
