Have you received the Holy Ghost and she believed? Paul’s question here refers to the baptism in the Holy Spirit, the same as that which happened at Pentecost. The recording of Paul’s actions here underscore and document the importance of the necessity of receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost baptism is a gift that God wants to give all believers for the church to operate not only as an organization but as an organism, one that is alive and well.
