Primary Text: Jude 1:1-3; 20-23 Jude was constrained to write this letter because of the apostate teachers who were perverting the grace of God and in so doing were undermining truth and righteousness in the churches. Jude indicts them as sexually impure; compromising like Cain; covetous like Balaam; rebellious like Korah; arrogant; deceptive; sensual and divisive. Believers must defend and propagate the faith and resist false teachings: (1) By building ourselves up in the most holy faith; (2) By praying in the Spirit; (3) By remaining in the sphere of God’s love for us; (4) By looking for and awaiting the return of our Lord.
